Independence Police say that they are looking for a resident of San Roman Village in the Stann Creek district known to them as Mencho. The said individual is wanted by police in connection with a murder that happened in the wee hours of Sunday Morning. Police reported that two men were under the bus shed in San Roman Village when they were approached by Mencho who was armed with a machete and reportedly was intoxicated. He began to inflict cut wounds upon both of the men and as a result 30 year old Gabino Choc sustained a cut wound to his throat and died from his injuries. The other received a cut wound to his right eye and left elbow. When police arrived on the scene they observed a male person lying on the ground beside the bus stop in a face up position apparently dead. Chocs body is now at the southern regional hospital morgue awaiting a post mortem examination.”
