The Gang Suppression Unit continues to carry out its aggressive operations in removing drugs and weapons off the streets and out the hands of the criminal elements.  Just yesterday one of the GSU teams were on the south side of Belize City, particularly in the Faber’s Road and Rivero Street areas when they scored about three pounds of high grade marijuana.  According to reports, the areas searched is the territory of the South Side Gang but no one was in the area at the time of the search; therefore the drug was labelled as found property and taken into police custody.
