GSU Gets Nine Pounds of Marijuana in Belize Rural

The Gang Suppression Unit (GSU) were in the rural areas of Belize District at around midday today when they were led to a black SUV through the Lord’s Bank Road in Ladyville.  The team conducted a search on the vehicle and its occupants when they came across eight parcels; all containing marijuana.  The parcels were concealed in a spare tire and weighed a total of nine pounds.  As a result of this operation, the driver, 35-year-old, Dean Edward Cain of an Amara Avenue address in Belize City as well as the passenger, 39-year-old, Alston Sydney Adolphus of a Belama Phase Two address were arrested and charged for possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply.
