Teenage Boys Fire at Taxi Man; Motive Unknown

Belize City police have detained two teenage boys for allegedly shooting a taxi man on Sunday afternoon. Twenty four year old Kyron Santiago was inside his white taxi car on Police Street Extension when he was approached by individuals suspected to be the teenagers: ages sixteen and seventeen, when he was fired upon. Santiago was shot to the back and right hand. He was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he is admitted in a stable condition. Police have not release the motive for the shooting. However, investigators have recovered a 38 revolver believed to be used in the shooting.
