For the past five years, Community Health Worker, Everita Luciano Copo and her team, has been offering free clinic services to infants and women of San Jose Nuevo Palmar Village in the Orange Walk District. Copo decided to do the same this year at the community center where she would usually hold the clinics. But unbeknownst to Copo, all her supplies and equipment were removed from the center.  So Copo decided to use the center’s verandah to offer the free services to the villagers.

Our attempts so far to contact the village’s chairman have been futile.
