Today, the Government confirmed that Belize’s bid for ten million US dollars was approved and has been earmarked to expand services to poor and vulnerable communities across Belize. A release says the Belize Social Investment Fund will be the implementing body of addressing basic needs in order to reduce poverty in rural and urban communities. CEO in the Ministry of Economic Development Yvonne Hyde said quote, “the four year loan from CDB will significantly enable Belize Social Investment Fund to continue its outreach to touch the lives of additional thousands of Belizeans across the country in the areas of socio-economics projects”.
