“Shortly before 3pm on Friday April 7th we received information of a robbery at Circle R products. Our officers immediately proceeded to the area where the manager Mr. Isalberto Vargas reported to us that he and another staff member were at the work site when they were approached by three men who were in a black car approached the establishment and demanded money. During the process Mr.Vargas was hit to the head with one of the guns. So far we have two persons in custody, they are Abraham Vellos of a Police Street Address in Belize City he is 21 years old and Florentino Ruiz, 28 years old of a Raccoon Street Belize City address. During the robbery $800 in cash was stolen along with a black Samsung smartphone. These two men have been charged with robbery, they will be taken to the Belmopan Magistrate’s Court later on today. Also we’ve retrieved a firearm which we believe was used in committing this crime. There is the strong possibility that the charges will be upgraded to other charges relating to the firearm along with other items that were retrieved we are still looking for a third suspect who will be charged whenever we locate him.”
