Julius Espat Says GoB Has Failed at Curbing Crime

Updated: April 11, 2017

In recent months, the most gruesome crimes are coming out of the western part of the country with human remains being found in the rural parts of the Cayo District as well as in Belmopan.  Crime has been occurring unabated in Belize accompanied by very weak numbers in arrests and charges by the Police Department.  Julius Espat of the Cayo South area spoke on the crimes particularly in his jurisdiction.

Espat says the constant increase in police officers will not serve as a solution to the crime crisis in the country.

Espat is the Area Representative for the Cayo South division since 2008 with an electorate of over seven thousand voters.
