Corozal Police investigate the double homicide of a US Marine Corps veteran and his Canadian girlfriend who went missing and turned up dead in the vicinity of Chan Chen Village in the Corozal District. Drew DeVoursney, 36, and his 52-year-old girlfriend Francesca Matus were last seen on April 26th together but when Matus’ friend Joseph Milholen arrived the next morning to pick her up and take her to catch her flight home to Toronto, she was not at home; neither was DeVoursney. That friend alerted the police. We travelled to Corozal to follow the disturbing story of the couple who was found dead late Monday evening on May first.
