3-Car Accident Leaves Five Injured

Officers attached to the Rural Eastern Division were called out to an accident scene last night just before ten o’clock where they encountered a pickup truck on fire, a blue Dodge Caliber SUV in the right lane of the highway heading to Belize City and a white Saturn sedan thrown in the bushes.  The circumstances leading to this incident are yet to be revealed by the authorities but according to information, the driver of the pickup truck was 54-year-old, Frederick Banner who was found with burns to the face and left hand.  The Dodge Caliber was being driven by 29-year-old, SheidaAyuso who complained of pains to the right foot.  Ayuso had three passengers in her vehicle, namely, 31-year-old, Delcy Tillett, 29-year-old, Janine Lopez and 32-year-old, ZahniaCanul.  The three women complained of varying injuries.  Meanwhile, police are still working at locating the driver of the white Saturn sedan who reportedly fled the scene.  Police say that urine sample was taken from Banner who was taken to Belize Healthcare Partners while the four women were taken to Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital in a stable condition.  Ayuso and Banner have been served with a notice of intended prosecution.
