From Mahogany Street to Central Prison

Twenty-nine year old Kareem Gordon, a construction worker of 25 Casuarina Street, was sentenced to three years and fined ten thousand dollars today by the Chief Magistrate, Anne Marie Smith after he pled guilty to drug trafficking for 233 grams of cannabis. Gordon was busted around 4:30 p.m. on May 21. The police reported that they were on motorcycle patrol on Mahogany Street Extension when their attention was drawn to Gordon who was walking with a black plastic bag in his hand. The police said they took the bag from Gordon and when they opened it they saw two smaller plastic bags and each of them contained cannabis. One bag had 125 grams and the other had 108 grams.
