Just before three o’clock yesterday afternoon, police in Punta Gorda were called out to Red Bank Village where they encountered 30-year-old, Manuel Sho injured to the neck and arm.  According to Sho he was seated at picnic table near the village’s primary school when a 15-year-old boy approached him and inflicted a chop wound to the left side of his neck and to his right arm with a machete.  The victim says he is at a loss as to what motivated the minor to chop him as there was no argument or confrontation.  Police have detained the minor while Sho was transported to the Independence Polycinic and was later transferred to the Southern Regional Hospital, for further treatment.
