April 6, 2020. 10:30 a.m. – The Ministry of Health has continued to scale up testing for COVID-19 and a further 26 samples were tested on Sunday, April 5th. That scaled up testing has identified two further cases, both males residing in San Ignacio.                      📣 Belmopan. April 5, 2020. 8:15 a.m. – Ministry of Health confirms Fifth case of COVID-19 in Belize. The patient arrived in Belize on Friday, April 3rd, and is in self-isolation at a quarantine facility. He is without symptoms and stable.

69-year-old woman goes missing

Police are looking for a 69-year-old woman who has been reported missing.  Gerald Robinson, a resident of the Cayo District told police that his wife, 69-year-old Thelma Hoare Robinson left their house on a Santa Familia bus to an unknown destination. She has not returned home since. She was last seen carrying a pink hand bag and a white plastic bag. She is described as being of light complexion, about five feet five inches in height, weighs about 224 pounds, has light brown eyes, a round face, sharp nose, thin lips and a scar in the shape of a pyramid in the center of her forehead. Anyone knowing her whereabouts is asked to contact the nearest police station.
