Another human trafficking case; Police intercept vehicle with 14 undocumented Honduran nationals

There is another case of human trafficking under investigation tonight after police intercepted a vehicle with fourteen undocumented Honduran nationals in Santa Elena Town, Cayo District. ASP Joseph Myvett says that on Friday last, officers on mobile patrol spotted a black and grey ford expedition that was heavily tinted within Santa Elena Town. They moved in and intercepted the vehicle and found an elderly man transporting the group.

ACP Joseph Myvette: “At the time it was found to be driven my one Fernando Moh 58 years of a Benque Viejo Town address. Upon approaching the driver the vehicle was found to contain fourteen other occupants, all Honduran nationals: two adult females, three adult males and nine minors. The minors were placed in care of the Human Development Department whilst the others along with the driver is detained pending immigration related charges.

ASP Myvett says the Honduran nationals are still being questioned by investigators.
