Arrest made for home invasion

Last week four masked and armed thieves had broken into the home of a thirty-six-year-old American woman and her two children in Ontario Village. During the home invasion, she was hit with a gun and her caretaker fifty-five-year-old Teakettle resident, Simeon Alvaro was beaten and stabbed. The head of the National Criminal Investigation Branch, Joseph Myvett says that they have cracked the case and arrested and charged one suspect for the crime.

ACP Joseph Myvett: “In relation to the matter of the aggravated burglary which had occurred earlier last week in Ontario Village,  Police have since arrested and charged one Glenford Patterson 26 years Labourer of Ontario Village for the crime of aggravated burglary, attempted murder, use of deadly means of harm and dangerous harm. They were following several leads which resulted in this. They are continuing to follow leads in order to try and get the other persons concerned in custody. Well it was a robbery in that certain electronic items and monies were stolen and as per the previous press briefing the caretaker at that time attempted to intervene in order to assist his boss and that is when he was injured.”

The police hope to capture the other suspects who committed the crime.
