Belizean Student Critical After Being Shot in Guyana

A Belizean student in Georgetown, Guyana is hospitalized and fighting for his life. According to K-News online, doctors at the Georgetown Hospital are battling to save the life of 30-year-old, Garfield Dennison. K-News is reporting that Dennison was shot two times, once to chest and once to the left hand by an unknown assailant in Cummingslodge, East Coast Demerara. He was reportedly dropping off his girlfriend at around 9:30 that night. Eyewitness reports indicate that Dennison was about to ride off when the gunman approached him and fired three shots. He was quickly rushed to the hospital and doctors at Georgetown Hospital have listed him as critical. Police have yet to ascertain a motive for the almost fatal attack. However, we can report that Georgetown police have ruled out robbery since nothing was taken from Dennison. Dennison is a student of University of Guyana.
