BNTU President says school managements are lying

1 min read

School managements will not dock the salaries of teachers who rallied in Belmopan in March. That was confirmed via a press release sent earlier this week by the Belize Association of General Managers for Pre and Primary Schools which stated quote, “contrary to what has been stated by the BNTU in the local media, there was no decision by BAGMPPS to dock teachers’ salaries…” End of quote. Prior to that statement being issued, the President of the BNTU, Senator Elena Smith told Love News that the union had taken the decision to withhold salaries for schools after they learned that salaries would be docked. The association refuted such claims stating that there is no truth to these assertions. Today we asked Senator Smith about it.

Teachers will receive full salaries for March 2018.
