On August 7th at eleven forty-five a.m., a search of an abandoned parcel of land on William Schofield Street in Corozal Town, led police to discover a homemade firearm and live rounds of ammunition inside the chamber of the weapon. No one was found in the area at the time and the police labelled the items as found property.

On Thursday, a police patrol in Unitedville in the Cayo District, has police searching for Alexander Rios, after he was found to be in possession of an unlicensed firearm.
