Yesterday Chief Justice Kenneth Benjamin heard a case challenging the outcome of the March 7 elections in San Pedro Town. The People’s United Party is challenging the elections results of San Pedro Town because they believe that there were enough discrepancies that affected the results. The UDP’s Mayor Daniel Guerrero and his council defeated the PUP’s Abner Perez and his team on March 7 but the PUP says that Guerrero and his team were not duly elected and have sought for the Chief Justice to declare the elections void. Arguments were presented yesterday with the trial ending after six ‘clock. Hipolito Novelo reports.
