Councilors assigned portfolios

Belize City Mayor Bernard Wagner has assigned portfolios to his new council. Wagner has responsibility for finance, administration, human resources, anti-corruption and CARILED. Oscar Arnold is the Deputy Mayor with responsibility for budgeting, municipal court and special constables. Javier Castellanos is Councilor with responsibility for Economic Development, Small Business, Trade & Investment; Ryan Elijio has the portfolios of Tourism, Zoning & Planning and Local Building Authority, while Aisha Gentle is responsible for Markets, Citizen Engagement, Park and Beautification; Micah Goodin has responsibility for MIS, Staff Development &Training, Youths & Sports. Deltrude Hylton has the portfolio for Public Health; Michael Norales is in charge of  Sanitation, CEMO, Security, Flood Mitigation &  Climate Change, Dr. Candace Pitts holds the portfolio for  Women & Children, NGO’s, After School Programs and Foreign Affairs, Allan Pollard Junior is responsible for Traffic, Community Participation, Public relations and Special Events while Albert Vaughn has responsibility for works. The portfolios and the post of Deputy Mayor will be rotated on an annual basis.
