Health officials are breathing a bit easier tonight as they are seeing a significant decrease in dengue cases.  According to the Ministry of Health, this is the first time in four weeks that they have seen a noted drop.  Since September 7,  a total of one hundred and thirty-nine new cases were reported, bringing the total number to three thousand one hundred and fifteen cases countrywide.  The ministry reports that the districts with the higher rates are Orange Walk, Stann Creek and Cayo with the other 3 districts still reporting much lower numbers.  A total of 2.3% of the cases have been severe.  With the forecast for rain, the ministry continues to be vigilant and advises the public to do the same
