Various police searches conducted in Belize City on Thursday allowed police to discover numerous amounts of cannabis. Searches done on the South side of the City, led to the discovery of approximately 2,805 grams of cannabis, however no one was found in the area and as a result, police labeled and deposited it as found property.  Just before eleven o’clock that morning, police searched the residence of forty nine year old, Lucilla Leslie of Santa Barbara Street and discovered a bag containing 84.8 grams of cannabis. Leslie has since been arrested and charged for drug trafficking. Police also conducted a search at the residence of twenty four year old, Rayan Smith, of Dolphin Street, where they found 130 grams in his possession. Smith was arrested and charged with drug trafficking
