An attempt was made on the life of a Roaring Creek villager on June 9th. Twenty-three year old, Eugene Henderson was shot to the head and had been fighting for his life; however, he succumbed to his injuries on August 10th. ACP Joseph Myvett explained that Henderson’s assailant, Rudolph Welcome will face new charges.
ACP Joseph Myvette: During the initial investigation one Rudolf Welcome was arrested and charged for the crime of attempted murder. He was granted bail and is now back in custody where the charges will be upgraded to murder.
Police are still awaiting the results of Henderson’s post-mortem examination.
