Oceana Belize will be holding its Hands across the Sand initiative tomorrow in various parts of the country.  The initiative encourages citizens to meet up at specific locations to hold hands as a symbol of solidarity against offshore oil development in Belize and to embrace a clean energy future.  According to Oceana, this is one of hundreds of synchronized events globally to raise awareness about the dangers of dirty fuels and the need to speed the transition to available, affordable clean energy solutions. The event is particularly salient this year with Belize having just recently been confronted with seismic air gun blasting in our waters late October 2016.   Participants are to meet up either at the Independence Plaza in Orange Walk; Y Not Island in Dangriga; the Bliss Lighthouse in Belize City; Tipsy Tuna in Placencia; Miami Beach in Corozal; Wooden Bridge in San Ignacio; on the beach in Hopkins Village; at the Parque del Almandre in Sarteneja; on Front Street in Punta Gorda; on the beach near the water taxi on Caye Caulker; at Central Park in San Pedro and on Independence Hill in Belmopan.  Meeting time is set for
