A man who was riding a black bicycle was the victim of a hit and run incident. The victim was found at mile 78 on the roadside, just outside of San Joaquin Village in the Corozal District. ACP Joseph Myvett, Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch says that they need the public’s help in identifying this John Doe.
ACP Joseph Mvett: “Some time around 12:20 this morning Police was called to an area between mile 78 and 79 on the Philip Goldson Highway where they observed the body of a hispanic male who appeared to be motionless with severe head and body injuries. As a result the scene was processed. One black bicycle was found in the vicinity of where the body was with damage to the back portion of the bicycle. No vehicle was found on the scene. This male person has still not yet been identified by Police. In this matter we are seeking the public’s cooperation in identifying both the driver and the vehicle that was involved in this accident.”
The police department does not have any leads regarding the type of vehicle that hit John Doe.
