There was a fatal shooting incident which claimed the life of 38-year-old, Karl Lamb. The incident occurred at approximately 8:35 last night on La Croix Boulevard in the old capital. At this morning’s press brief, Assitant Superintendent of Police, Alejandro Cowo, briefed the media on the incident.
ASP Alejandro Cowo – Head CIB, Belize City: “Police responded to a shooting incident located at the corner of Park Street and La Croix Boulevard where upon arrival they observed Mr. Karl Kevin Lamb 38 years old suffering from gunshot wounds to his body. He was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. What police has gathered so far in reference to this investigation was that Mr. Lamb was standing at the corner speaking to someone when someone came from behind and fired several shots at his direction causing the above-mentioned injuries to him. We suspect that it is because of an ongoing feud that is steaming up in the Martin’s area between the two different groups in that location. Well, earlier in the day there was an attempted shooting on two persons almost in that vicinity and we believe that is what triggered the shooting death of Mr. Lamb later in the night.”
Police say that they are following various leads at this time. ///////
