“PC Mr. Victor Myvett went to pick me up at my house Tuesday morning and he told me, where is the washing machine that you went to thief? I told him I don’t know anything about that.  He told me lets go then, get in the vehicle.  So I got in the vehicle and we went to station. When we reach at the station I told them take me where I went to thief this machine, so he told me lets go then.  So when we reach at the gentleman he told me, he said he don’t know who went with the machine, all I know is when I got up in the morning Sunday morning no washing machine was there.  So I told him it wasn’t me that went with it because I don’t know anything about it.  So they told me alright it’s you that went with it.  So they took me back at the station, when they took me there they told me well alright they will charge me for theft.  I ask for what? Well anyway they took my name and everything so they tell me lets go then so we went into the cell.  Two police went with me and me one in the cell and from then they tell me well alright get back the washing machine that you went to thief they start to beat me up, kick me up, two of them and they kick me on the face, they kick me on the butt, they kick me on the leg, they punch me in my guts, I nearly drop but I had to stand it because I was alone in there.   So anyway, Mr. Myvett told me I am not done with you yet, I am coming back for you again, he said the morning early yet.  So from then they lock me and they went.  After that, thank God nothing happen again, but every minute they come and tell me where is the washing machine that you went to pick I up.  I told them I know nothing about that Mr. Myvett.  So anyways, that done, the day done, we sleep when the morning come now, the Wednesday morning.  I told Mr. Myvett because he came back to me again and told me I have to find that machine.  I told him but I don’t know anything about this machine but anyways I tell him Mr. Myvett I can buy a next machine for the lady if that lost because then if I wanted that machine I wouldn’t have to help buy a next machine because I could have go pick up that and make we go deliver it back which part I get it from.  But anyways, Mr. Myvett said I’ll come back, so he went.  When he went now, he came back like around 4:00 then he told me, he said Nicholas are you sleeping.  I told him no am taking my rest.  He said come then, get up.  So we went outside and from there he told him let me talk to you because you have to find this washing machine and if you don’t find this washing machine by Friday 2:00 I will come and pick you up again and I will deal with you because I will got you weekend.”

“Teul said that he had since been to the Punta Gorda hospital for treatment because he suffered pain in his face and other parts of his body during and after what he referred to as an unprofessional and brutal treatment from police.  When asked about his reporting the incident to the officer in command Punta Gorda police, Teul said he has not done so yet as he remains very disappointed at the way he was treated in the cell block and he is now so afraid of the police that he does not even want to go near the police station.  Reporting for Love News, Paul Mahung, Punta Gorda.”
