A drug bust in Benque has led to the discovery of a large sum of Cannabis.  According to Police, they attempted to stop a silver two door Nissan Pickup truck yesterday around six thirty am in the Lomas del Rodeo Area in Benque Viejo Town but the vehicle sped off.  When police managed to intercept the vehicle one person ran out and made good his escape while the driver twenty three year old Anthony Thomas Welcome from a Holy Emmanuel Address in Belize City was apprehended.  A search of the car led to the discovery of fifty five point five pounds of cannabis.  Police are now searching for the other occupant of the car.
