Twenty-one year old Shannon Martinez, a sales representative, was charged with drug trafficking for one point one grams of cocaine when she appeared in court today.

She pleaded not guilty to the charge. Senior Magistrate Sharon Fraser offered her a bail of $5,000.00 and adjourned her case until November 30. The incident occurred around 10:15 p.m. on Friday, October 5.

Acting on information received, members of the police’s Gang Suppression Unit went to a house on Allenby Street and when they searched Martinez they reported that they found the cocaine in a zip lock bag in the left back pocket of her pants. As a result, Martinez was taken into custody and charged.
