Last week was observed as Credit Union Week and a part of activities held was a high school essay competition. 

High school students were asked to write on the topic “The credit union difference’.  Today the winners of the competition were announced. 

Jason Catch of Corozal Community College walked off with the first prize of $1,000.00; Jessica Klassen of Linda Vista School in Blue Creek Village in the Orange Walk District placed second and took home $500.00 and Brent Coombs of Sacred Heart College in San Ignacio was third.  He walked away with $250.00.
