The Love Foundation has opened a new studio where it intends to provide free access and lessons to young people who are interested in broadcasting and even a music career. That studio was opened today in Belmopan on the 25th anniversary of Love FM. The nonprofit organization was born out of the radio station’s proprietors’ desire to further serve the Belizean community. Dalila Ical has more on the story.
The Love foundation operates on three pillars – academic enrichment, therapeutic and recreational programs. The organization has been working with young women in their Learning Earning and Parenting Program, LEAP; a parenting academy in which it helps parents develop skills to advocate for their children; a program targeting special needs children and it has even built homes in the past for families in need.
