A man from Armenia Village is recovering from injuries he sustained after he was beaten and robbed on New Year’s night. Correspondent Fem Cruz spoke with the victim yesterday.
A twenty-four-year-old man of Armenia Village situated on the Humming Bird Highways is recuperating from a stab wound he received while on his way home. According to the victim, Wilmar Diaz Gutierrez, sometime around 1 o’clock New Years morning he was on his way home after socializing with some friends in the back area of the village; upon reaching a dark area at an unknown street, he was confronted by four male persons who began to accuse him falsely for no reason. The victim said he tried his best to talk his way out of it and that is when he was stabbed in his right hand. Wilmar Diaz Gutierrez was transported to the Western Regional Hospital by his father where he was treated for his injuries and later released. Belmopan Police continue their investigation.
