Man shot along the Cristo Rey Road

 

Last week a man was shot during a robbery in Cayo. It happened along the Cristo Rey Road. ACP Joseph Myvette, the Head of National Crimes Investigation Branch says Takeem Maskall was shot to the abdomen and he survived the incident.

ACP Joseph Myvett – Head National Crimes Investigation Branch: “There was a robbery in the Cayo District where Takeem Maskal received gunshot injuries. On Friday last sometime around 11 am San Ignacio police responded to information of a robbery on the Cristo Rey Road where upon arrival they met one Takeem Maskal 23 years with apparent gunshot wounds to his left lower abdomen. He reported to them that whilst he had visited a farm on the Cristo Rey Road in order to make a purchase he had stopped at the security gate and whilst being there he was approached by a male person wearing a mask who demanded money and as a result the person fired a shot which caught him in the left lower abdomen. The bag he was carrying with documents and monies was stolen, after which that person made good his escape. He was assisted by another male person on a motorbike, so far police are seeking one person in relation to this investigation.”
