Minor fire reported in Belize City

The National Fire Service prevented a major fire this afternoon on Central American Boulevard in Belize City. Firefighters were called out to a store where smoke was seen originating from the lower flat of the two storey cement building. Fortunately, the fire was quickly controlled and extinguished before further damage was caused. Station Manager, Oren Smith, shared more details.

The structure is insured. No one was injured.
