Thirty-seven year old Anthony Bennett, who was charged with the murder of 30 year old Erbin Garrido, was committed to stand trial in the April session of the Supreme Court after a preliminary inquiry was held today by Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford. When asked if he had an alibi or witnesses to call in order to have their names tendered, he said he did not have any. Garrido, a laborer of Cet Site, was shot and killed around 8 p.m. on May 29, 2018. His assailant entered his house, and shot him in his chest. The police reported that when they arrived at the scene they saw Garrido lying face up in the bathroom. Bennett was detained the following day and charged. Bennett was not represented by any attorney at the preliminary inquiry.
