“Life is a journey, not a destination” and one man, wrote about his life’s journey in a book entitled “One Man’s Journey”. Wilfred Holder previously launched his book in Guyana, the land of his birth as well as Trinidad & Tobago where he resides. However, he felt the need to also launch the book in Belize since this country is dear to his heart, having lived in Belize in the seventies while setting up an insurance company. The book was launched today at the Leo Bradley Library in Belize City and Love news was there to speak with the author, who said that there are diamonds within each of us.
Wilfred Holder – Author: “First of all there must be a dream, then decide to take action on your dream, plan. Never look back on what could have happened, look forward to what you are going to make happen. Make a change in the world so dream big and once you dream big take action. You must have a vision for your life young people, if nobody has a vision for their lives as the scripture says the people will perish and you will perish with it so you must have a vision and then you have to take action on that vision so what is it the vision that you have. I want to be a great life insurance agent, that is me so I have that vision so I did everything in my action to take that vision. I studied, I worked hard, I saw the people, I did everything that was asked of me to do. Like I always tell people a lot of people have died with gold and diamonds. When I say gold and diamond, with all their stories, with all the things they knew to do and some of them were geniuses and they died because they forgot to write their story for other people to enjoy so they die with all that. I don’t want to die with all that, that is why I wrote a book, so there is a legacy left back, my grandchildren, my great-grandchildren can read it. I don’t know if it will be a bestseller but I hope it does, not so much because I want to make money or nothing like that but because I want to get the message to people, that you have a life, live it to the fullest.”
Holder’s message for young people is to never give up on your dreams because success might be right around the corner.
