Rose Anderson is being recognized by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) for her contribution to healthcare. Anderson works as a Health Coordinator for the Health Education and Community Participation Bureau (HECOPAB) and she is attached to the Western Regional Hospital. As a part of her duties, she trains community health workers as well as makes visits to rural communities on a regular basis to discuss various health issues in order to help improve the lives of the residents. PAHO has also recognized other health providers in Jamaica and in Barbados as it observes “Wellness Week 2018”, from September 8th to September 14th. This year’s theme is “Building healthy communities for everyone”. It is noteworthy to mention that Anderson was also recognized by the US Embassy in Belize as Belize’s Wonder Woman in 2017.
