Last week, 60-year-old Cliff Kirk, an American businessman, who owns Casa Brisas in San Pedro was shot to the right side of his head. After shooting Kirk, the culprits went inside his home and stole an undisclosed amount of cash, a 9mm pistol and a 12 gauge pump-action shotgun. Police have since made progress in their investigations which was shared at today’s press brief.
ASP Alejandro Cowo – Head of CIB: “During the weekend Police arrested and charged three persons in regards to this incident. During the investigation several persons were detained however out of the eight persons that were detained three were arrested and charged; two adults and a minor. The two adults that were charged are Nigel William he is a twenty four year old fisherman of a San Mateo area and Christian Espat, twenty two year old Belizean of the San Pedrito area and a minor. They were charged for robbery, attempted murder, aggravated assault, aggravated burglary, use of deadly means of harm and dangerous harm. The condition of Mr. Cliff; he was airlifted to the US and he is receiving medical treatment in the United States.”
Casa Brisas is in a remote part of the island.
