Police officer receives death threats following Kendis Flowers’ murder

2 min read

The Belize Police Department is calling on members of the public who are issuing death threats to a police officer to “cease and desist”. In a press release issued this afternoon, the Police Department said that these threats are being made against a Sergeant of Police and his family. It appears that they stem from allegations that the police were involved in the murder of Kendis Flowers, a reputed member of the Ghost Town Crips gang in Belize City. In their release, the department says it views the threats seriously and assures the public the Sergeant quote, “has been out of the country on vacation leave during the time of, Flowers murder. Kendis Flowers murder is under investigation and we expect to lay charges very soon. We assure the general public, that from our investigation there is no police involvement in the murder of Kendis Flowers,” end of quote. The department asks those making the alleged threats to cease and desist and to also refrain from making further accusations. If they don’t, legal action will be taken against them.
