Prime Minister confirms the Contractor General did not submit reports

On December 13, the reappointment of Godwin Arzu has Contractor General was blocked by Senators. As we reported last night, Senators expressed concerns regarding Arzu’s responsibilities. PUP Senator Valerie Woods wrote to Prime Minister Dean Barrow, questioning the status of the Contractor General. Woods received a response today from the Prime Minister. Prime Minister Dean Barrow confirmed that Arzu’s term expired at the end of 2017. Barrow also confirmed that Arzu has failed to submit annual reports. Hipolito Novelo reports.

 

 

Government’s intention was to reappoint Arzu for another two-year term. Arzu was first appointed as Contractor General since 2008.
