But that’s not the only allegation against the Area Representative for Port Loyola. There are allegations that the Taiwanese Embassy has asked the Prime Minister to investigate Minister Martinez on the housing project in his division. The Minister denied the allegation.

Anthony Martinez – Area Representative, Port Loyola

“The South Side project the sponsor for that is OPEC not Taiwan so I don’t know where you’re getting your information from.”

Reporter:

“They have in fact donated in the past to housing projects.”

Anthony Martinez – Area Representative, Port Loyola

“But are you hearing what I am saying? No project under this administration was donated by the Taiwanese Government.”

Reporter:

“Funds at all?”

Anthony Martinez – Area Representative, Port Loyola

“No funds were donated for housing under the Taiwanese project- the two housing projects that we had overall from 2008 was the Venezuelan Housing Project and the South Side Poverty Alleviation Project under OPEC. I don’t know if it is hearsay that we are dealing with in terms of what you heard or if that is official.”

Reporter:

“Were those houses intended to be temporary housing? You say they are not intended to last forever but some have been up for three years and they are already in disrepair.”

Anthony Martinez – Area Representative, Port Loyola

“No house has been up for three years, I can’t attest to that about any house being up for three years and in disrepair. A lot of those houses have gone through two hurricanes and have not gone down.”
