Two aggravated burglaries were reported in the Belize District. 53-year-old Lilian Cuellar told the Police that before eight o’clock last night, she was doing her laundry in her yard when she felt an object behind her head and a man demanded that she hand over everything of value. The culprits took her inside her home where they stole a licensed nine millimeter Smith and Wesson pistol, a black Dell laptop valued at three thousand dollars, a white Toshiba 12-inch Tablet valued at eight hundred dollars and a PS4 play station game.  Hours later, the police were also called to a home in Ladyville where 69-year-old Cornelius Burke said he was awakened shortly after midnight by someone covering his mouth and asking him the whereabouts of a chest. He said he saw three armed men with their faces covered. The elderly man was tied up and he later found out that the men made off with six televisions sets, seven hundred dollars in cash and his vehicle, a silver Caravan which he uses as a taxi.
