1 min read

Police are investigating what appears to be the intentional burning of two vehicles. Police report that on Thursday morning, shortly after one o’clock officers responded to a vehicle fire on Samuel Haynes Street in the Belama Phase 1 area. There they found a Chevrolet van totaled by fire and a Dodge Caravan partially burned to the bonnet and engine. 46-year-old Roberto Botes, a Belizean Tour Guide of San Narcisso Village Corozal District told police he had parked his vehicles at that location around four o’clock on Wednesday afternoon and learned some hours later that they were on fire. Investigators have so far discovered that shortly after midnight on Thursday morning, a white SUV type vehicle was seen passing by the vehicles and a male person threw something on them and a fire caught on thereafter.
