British national, Roger Victor Wallace was arrested and charged with two counts of attempted kidnapping in Belmopan, Cayo District. Assistant Commissioner of Police, Joseph Myvett who heads the National Crimes Investigation Branch told the media today during a press brief that Wallace has been remanded to the Belize Central Prison.
ACP JOSEPH MYVETT, Head of N.C.I.B: ” As previously reported in relation to an eight year old child in Belmopan who there was an attempt to abduct, police conducted an intensive investigation which resulted in the detention of one Rodger Victor Wallace, a British National who has since been arrested and charged for two counts of attempted kidnapping. He was today taken to court where he was remanded into custody until the 3rd of December. The initial information was that three children were walking on the George Price Boulevard when they were approached by someone in a white van who attempted to abduct the eight year old and as a result his other two siblings prevented that person from abducting him. Thereafter the person then drove off. Following on that information and following several leads led to the detention of Mr.Wallace.”
The 63-year-old returns to court on December 3, 2018.
