To honor El Salvador’s Independence on September fifteenth, the Salvadoran Community, residing within the Maskall Village, along with Minister Edmund Castro, Belize Rural North Area Representative, also a resident of Maskall, gathered together on Sunday to commemorate the country’s one hundred and ninety seventh Anniversary of its Independence. The Minister thanked the Salvadoran Community of Maskall, also known for their Naggo Bank Farmers’ Cooperative, for their outstanding contribution to Belize, in contributing over two million in agricultural sales annually and the long standing friendship and diplomatic relationship that both Belize and El Salvador share. Many who were in attendance came from various communities such as the Valley of Peace in cayo and Balla Vista in Toledo.
