Security Supervisor robbed

Belize City police are investigating an armed robbery which occurred early yesterday morning on Magazine Road in Belize City. The latest victim is Jodi Ramdas, a security Supervisor for Brints Security. Inspector Wilfredo Ferrufino shared what investigators have found out.

Inspector Wilfred Ferrufino C.I.B Belize City: “He reported that about 3 am on the 6th of June whilst he was retrieving employees he was accosted by three masked men. These masked men proceeded to rob him of two 9mm. pistols, the property of the security firm. The matter is under investigation and Police are seeking suspects in regards to this. The robberies are being investigated and are being looked at in that angle, from the investigative aspect and likewise there are operational aspects or operational measures that have been put in place. I don’t want to go into details in regard to that but there are measures being put in place to alleviate or to try to combat the series of robberies.”

Reporter: Do you think the trend now is for robbers to dress up as Policemen and Security Guards?

Inspector Wilfred Ferrufino C.I.B Belize City: “Of course we have seen cases where that has been the issue again like I said it has been addressed both at an investigative aspect and an operational aspect.”

Police are looking for three persons.
