Several schools will benefit from a donation of computers and equipment from the Republic of Korea to the Government of Belize. Last Thursday, the Laing Building in Belize City was the setting for the donation, valued at ninety thousand dollars. His Excellency Lee In-ho, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea handed over the computers and equipment to Deborah Domingo, Chief Executive Officer for the Ministry of Education. The donation was made possible through an official Development Assistance Programme for the fiscal year 2018.The schools that will benefit are Bishop O.P Martin R.C. School, Belmopan Methodist High School, More Tomorrow Government School, Franks Eddy Government School, Big Falls R.C. School, Forest Home Methodist School, Fire Burn Government School and Paraiso Government School. The donation will allow for the delivery of high quality skills to students and teachers of the selected institutions. The Republic of Korea has generously supported Belize for the past thirty-one years in areas such as human resource development, capacity building and technical cooperation. Furthermore, through these donations, the Government of the Republic of Korea hopes to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the people and Governments of Korea and Belize.
