Police also continue their investigation into the murder of 55-year-old Jamaican national Patrick George Crossdale in Dangriga Town. Crossdale was shot and killed shortly after ten o’clock on Tuesday morning. Inspector Ferrufino says they have still not established a motive for his death.

Inspector Wilfred Ferrufino, Crimes Investigation Branch: “Information is that he was on travelling on his motorcycle on his way home when an individual exited from the bushes and fired the shots at him which proved to be fatal.”

Reporter: Has it been reported that one Mr.Courtney Jackson believes that he may have been the intended target of this particular execution and that his colleague  was shot and killed so that in essence his enemies or his attackers in his case would have clear access to him, has that been reported to police?

Inspector Wilfred Ferrufino, Crimes Investigation Branch: “Not that I know of, that hasn’t been relayed to me. I can’t confirm that information.”

Reporter: Do the officers know who the intended target was in this attack?

Inspector Wilfred Ferrufino, Crimes Investigation Branch: “I don’t want to go into details in regards to that, the investigation is ongoing and as soon as there is some confirmation and we have the green light we will brief you on that.”

The shooting disrupted classes at the Gulisi Primary School in Dangriga.
