US President Donald Trump had been courting leaders such as Russia’s Vladimir Putin and North Korea’s Kim Jong-un. Belize is not being left out of State visits as it recently had a visit from the Republic of China on Taiwan’s Foreign Minister Joseph Wu. But the Head of State is now visiting Belize. Taiwan’s President  Dr. Tsai Ing-Wen is scheduled to visit Belize from August 16th to 18th.  During her first state visit to Belize, President Tsai will be accompanied by members of the Cabinet and Parliament, senior government officials, various private sector leaders and representatives of the media. The visit is expected to include objectives such as enhancing mutual understanding, expanding exchanges and making further progress on developing and implementing joint initiatives in the areas of agriculture, education, information and communication technology, medical care and vocational training.
