After having received forty thousand dollars from the Embassy of Taiwan for the refurbishment of the media section inside the National Assembly, the various news agencies have been consulted on the way forward. Today another meeting was held as an update to where the project currently stands. Correspondent Pauline Soberanis Tillett reports.
Pauline Soberanis Tillett, Love News Correspondent: Media personnel attended the third meeting concerning the equipment that will be used in the National Assembly. The Press Office Director Dorian Pakeman along with members of the media houses have been working tediously making sure that the money is spent wisely getting updated equipment within the budget. Love News spoke with Pakeman.
Dorian Pakeman, Press Office Director: “What happened today is we’ve had the final meeting for the National Assembly technical committee for refurbishing of the media area for the National Assembly. We convened today’s meeting and what we did is we finalized the list for procurement for the equipment needed for the retrofitting of the media gallery for the National Assembly. We’ve put together the list so what we’ll do is go over it one last time to make sure we cross all the T’s and dot the I’s and then hopefully we’ll have the equipment in country within the next two weeks after which we’ll then install the equipment and have everybody ready by the end of November if all goes well.”
